Harriet was my wonderful teacher and friend. She held a special place in my heart and always will. Her kindness and joy for life will not be forgotten. I will miss our talks and laughs. She loved our Heavenly Father will all her heart.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Harriet Rivkin's family. I used to train her sister. Harriet would make appointments for our sessions. I have so much respect for how she devoted so much time and energy taking care of her sister. While training I could hear Harriet calling all the doctors and insurance companies. I remember thinking I hope I have someone like that by my side if I ever need it. Love, Denny!

Dear family, you need to know that a lad from Brooklyn has never forgotten his wonderful social studies teacher. An adolescent 7th grader was lost and "at sea" when he entered Benjamin Franklin Junior High School. One teacher, more than any other helped to have it all make sense. Ms. Rivkin was kind, encouraging, and quick to issue an intellectual challenge - all the while with a delightful disposition (An amazing feat for any middle school teacher) and a smile. Here I am, 60 years later, remembering and mourning the loss of a lady who made a difference.

I had Miss Rivkin as a teacher in the 8th grade at Ben Franklin Jr High in 1961. She was not only a great teacher, but a mentor as well. Her advice and guidance, all those years ago, have served me well into adulthood. She touched so many lives and will be missed by so many!
