I never knew Shirley personally, but I had spoken to her on the phone several times years ago, back in the 80's. Shirley worked tirelessly to bring the stars from Days of Our Lives here to Baltimore for so many charity events. I enjoyed many of them myself . Thanks, Shirley, for some great memories. My condolences to her family at this time.

Shirley was a wonderful person and a gift to us all. She brought so much joy to all those that knew her and especially to the children. I had the privilege of working with her and the Children's Cancer Foundation for many years. My deepest condolences to her family.

Shirley worked selflessly for so many. She always was fighting for the children. She often spoke about her personal relationship with God and what He wanted her to do for the children. I'm certain she's sitting next to Him now advocating for the children.
I also remember how she helped adults too. When someone was in medical need, she never hesitated to pick up the phone to work her magic with the medical specialists so the person in need could be seen.
God has called one of his angels home. I'll miss her.

We remember Shirley when we lived on Gist Ave. many years ago. She was a beautiful lady and we were friendly with her. So sorry for your loss. May her memory be a blessing and may she rest in peace.

I had the blessing in life, to have had the friendship of your Mom. Her concern for
others was genuine, and beyond the scope of caring. Her actions to help others
will forever be a continuing ripple of comfort. I spoke to her about 2 weeks ago, and
will cherish always her memory. Her love for all of you and the happiness you gave
her, was always a part of her conversations. My thoughts and heart are with you all.
My heart and thoughts ar
My heart and thoughts are with you all.

What a wonderful lady. Aunt Shirley was the "cancer fundraiser queen." Loved and respected by all who met her. A true class act. She was one in a million.
My condolences to the Brager/Howard family.

Shirley was an Angel among us for the work she did to help so many people- Children especially. Shirley found an opportunity to help those who could not help themselves. Shirley found Corporations willing to give to find treatments for Children's Cancer. Shirley helped many research DOC's find the funds to do their work. Shirley found a way to clear the hurdles and get things built that had not been built. If Shirley helped you with your research, make sure her legacy stands tall through the Children's Cancer Foundation. If Shirley helped your loved one, thank her in your prayers and know there will never be another Shirley to touch all of our lives.

I ran the Bowl-a-Thon at Catonsville Middle School for Shirley and "her kids" for many years. Shirley was a force to be reckoned with. Her amazing enthusiasm and devotion motivated me and our students. I hope her spirit can motivate others to continue her dream.
