I first met Eudice when she was a patient in the medical office I was working. Always gracious, appreciative and pleasant. We then crossed paths again when she became a resident at Weinberg Village and a member of our personal "Village People Eating Group". I looked forward to seeing her at Sunday morning breakfast. Eudice could always be counted on the share the titles of the latest novels. She will be sorely missed by me.

Dear Lowenthal Family, We are tremendously saddened to learn of Eudice’s passing. Our families ( the Chaikens and Caplans) go back even before our grandparents came to America. We are grateful to your mom for meeting with us and my cousins several years ago, as she filled us in on our family history. She recanted the sad story of her ( as a child) reading a telegram to our grandparents that their eldest son ( our Uncle Ray) was killed in St. Lo, France. Your mom was a fabulous nurse. Her compassion for others no doubt started at an early age. May your memories of happy family times help sustain you all.

Your Mom worked with my Mom, (Dr. Beatrice S. Miller, Director of Nursing) at Sinai, many years ago. So when she came into shop at the (Guicci) Giant and saw me, she always asked for my Mom until her death 12 years ago. Thereafter, she always stopped to say hi like she was my own Mother, genuinely interested in my well- being. She was a lovely, classy lady who will be sorely missed by many!

Dear Family,
Bill and I are so sorry to hear of Mom's death. We were in California celebrating our grandson's wedding. We go back a long way, working as nursing supervisors for a long time at Sinai. We also were very active in our alumnae; in fact Eudice was President for life. She was so devoted to the alumnae, hating when we closed it up. She was a kind, caring woman and was so liked by all. Our hearts go out to you. She will be greatly missed.
