I'm so very sad to hear about Connie. I have wonderful memories of such a happy childhood when Connie was very much a part of our home. I will never forget her bringing "baby" Jill over to see Sherry & all of our family, & listening to Jill say words that I didn't even know how to pronounce! Dear Rebecca, Jill, Ira & to all Connie's family, may your wonderful memories & stories help you through all of these unthinkable & sad times. xoxooo

There is nothing like old friends. Connie was one of the kindest people I know. I remember her laughter and lots of conversations, both heavy and fun. Although we didn't see each other very often, I find myself thinking of her a lot. So many memories ....

Jill, we knew your Mom from her Mercantile Club days and after when you all moved to Stevenson Village. Connie and I bounded during that time. Jill, we knew you as an infant and little girl; it was really nice seeing you a few years ago, a lovely woman, mother and wife. One thing I remember clearly, your Mom was so happy to have you and so very proud of you. We are sorry for your loss and for those many people who loved her. She was special.

I was friends with Connie in high school and her kindness and sweetness were memorable.
Another standout memory involves Ira; Ira was kind enough to come to my house one time to drive me to their house because I didn't have a ride. When I got in his car, my hair was in a ponytail wound around two frozen orange juice containers (empty and clean, of course). This was our hair straightening technique at the time. What was memorable was the shocked look on Ira's face when he saw me, and he said, "You're not going out like that, are you?" I guess he was embarrassed to have anyone in Pikesville see me in his convertible..
