Ron was a special guy who would do anything to help anyone. Great sense of humor...we laughed more than we played on the tennis court..This is all too sudden, too shocking, and much too sad to comprehend. Rita, all of us in Ron's tennis group can't believe this has happened to our good friend. Annabelle and I were so very fond of Ron..and are so sad for you and your wonderful, loving family. RIP Ronnie!

It is with the heaviest of hearts that I just learned of Ron's passing. He was one of our most devoted Hebrew Free Loan Board Members. Not only did Ron consistently attend and volunteer his time, but he was one of the nicest, most sincere passionate guys who simply wanted to help others less fortunate. His loss will forever leave a hole in hearts and our organization. I always question "why" when there's a passing but in this case I'm really at a loss. As they say in the song, "only the good die young." And boy was Ron Walpert good. May his memory forever be a blessing to all that had the pleasure of knowing him.

Ron was a tennis partner of mine, and in that vein I had the pleasure of developing a friendly rapport with him. On the court, he was a fierce competitor, but never took the game too seriously, which made him a very desirable partner to others when choosing sides for a game. In casual discussions with him, I learned about his devotion to his family: Rita, Marcy, Logan and Lindsay, as they went through their busy and sometimes hectic lives. He was also very proud of his business and the legacy it represented to him, and although, as it turned out, he wasn't able to fulfill his intention to reach the hundred year mark of the family business, he loved his work and spoke of it frequently. The qualities I will remember most about Ron was his undying devotion and commitment to things he cared about, be it family, tennis, or business, his friendly, positive demeanor, and the confidence he displayed in himself and encouraged in others around him. Just a wonderful man whom I will greatly miss.

Ron was particularly kind to me when I was literally just a kid starting in the business, trusting me with orders despite my inexperience, and thereby helping me learn. That act of kindness was the beginning of a true friendship that has lasted over 30 years. As the years passed, I always looked forward to visiting the office, working hard together, and having a lot of laughs. I will truly miss him, and hope that all of your memories of the remarkable man he was provide comfort to you.
