I'v know Paul for better than 35 years. We taught together at Pikesville Middle School and again when became a Lab Assistant at Pikesville High School. He wsas also a member our monthly poker group. Paul was a very special man... always quiet but could be very funny. He was an excellent teacher. One of the Assistant Principals once commented that he had never had a child sent to him by Paul. That is how respected he was. Or maybe they were scared of Paul. We will miss him. I will miss him. So many students whose lives he changed will miss him,.

I knew Mr. Levin from last year and this year at Pikesville High in my Biology and now Chemistry class as a student I struggled in Biology. But, he was always there to help and save my grade in my second quarter and made my grade from a D and a B and I have always respected him even though he wasn't my true teacher. I just want to say my wishes are with his family and I know he will be missed.

I am a staff member at Pikesville High School and have had the pleasure of knowing Paul for 17 years.
He was a wonderful teacher, loved by students & staff.
He was quiet, but when we spoke he always made me smile with his dry sense of humor!
I will miss seeing him everyday!
My thoughts & prayers are with you and your family!

Great teacher. Mr. Levin taught me and then he taught my daughter. He was a respected, smart and talented teacher who knew how to get children interested in science. So very sorry for your loss

I was able to work with Paul for two years at Pikesville High School. It was apparent from the first day I met him that he was there for the kids. He made students passionate about science and would go out of his way to help any staff member. He is a great educator and even better man. He will be missed.

I worked with Paul at PHS for 17 years. He was a dedicated teacher. He came into my AVID classes and did SAT prep with the students for at least 7 years out of my 13 year tenure with the program. We also ate lunch together from time to time. He would eat chocolate chip cookies, a soda, pretzels and an ice cream sandwich. He would crack jokes and have discussions about education or politics. His presence will be missed at PHS. He touched many lives and made an impact. Heartfelt prayers and sympathy to the family. May his memory live on in your hearts.

Paul and I were on the same teaching team at Pikesville Middle School many years ago, and he taught my son. He was a superb, dedicated teacher and a generous colleague with a wonderful sense of humor. His students and fellow teachers were fortunate to have him in their lives. Deepest sympathy.

I run the Medical Explorers Club at Pikesville High and our yearly dissections could not have happened without Mr. Levin. His guidance made the dissections a success. He was an amazing teacher and thoroughly explained every lab we did in class for everyone to understand and have fun. He shared his love of science with the club and students. We will miss him. My thoughts and prayers to his family.

Paul and I were neighbors when we taught at Pikesville Middle School. He was a man of few words with a dry sense of humor that could just crack me up when we were on hall duty. He was a true gentleman and a wonderful teacher. So sorry for your loss. I will always think of him fondly.

Mr. Levin was my biology teacher in (PMS) 1982-83. I remember being petrified to dissect the frog, but he took the time to walk me through it step by step.....what a kind man and wonderful teacher.

Dear family and friends of Paul,
My encounter with "Mr. Levin" was long ago--1975-76, when I was a ninth grader taking his biology course. It made a huge impression on me. Dissecting sharks, being exposed to the limitless variety in nature, to the miracles of the living world, to the order that exists within it--all of that conveyed by Mr. Levin with wonderful clarity. And all of that was in my mind when I decided in my 20s to become a physician and a medical scientist. Now I study the genetic basis of psychiatric illness at Johns Hopkins. I am grateful to Paul for sharing his love of biology and setting me on a path that has been fascinating and fulfilling. May he rest in peace.

I will truly miss Mr. Levin's mild sense of humor and kind words. We worked in the Science department for 12 years together and when I had to cover a class, he would come in and do some type of science experiment that would amaze me and the students.
Sending my prayers to the family

Paul (Mr. Levin, to me) was the finest teacher I ever had - and I was lucky enough to have him for two full years (many years ago). And then he was an assistant teacher when my son was at PHS. My condolences on your loss.
