While I offer our condolences to the family, I know that Lois would want no sad songs for herself. Lois was a happy person who enjoyed life. I actually remember her as a cute blond-haired girl walking to School #59.As she was a couple of years older. I didn't see her again until I met Rene and he was friendly with a group of people that included Lois and Sonny. We went out occasionly recently, and enjoyed hearing how she and Sonny met. Of course, their marriage was happy and fulfilling and although they were plagued by health issues in recent years, Lois always remained upbeat and never complained. She was a super mom in all ways. They had a myriad of friends, celebrated many happy events, and loved to travel. Of course, Lois had another love, and it was duplicate bridge. She was a outstanding player and was liked and respected by all her partners and opponents. That is not an easy task in the sometimes serious and competitive world of duplicate. As I said I celebrate the life that Lois enjoyed. I remember the little blond- haired girl and the lovely fair haired matriarch on this Mothers Day. Rest in peace Lois.

Lois was one of my first bridge teachers. I fondly remember her brilliance for figuring out the play of hand, but especially appreciated her kindness. I also remember her determined walking the neighborhood for exercise and happily joined her many days.

Dear Miliman Family,
Clara's parents, Lenny and Sara Ann Berger were longtime friends and traveling partners in their mass group of world travelers that eventually included Ralph and Shirley Klein as well. Mrs. Miliman was always "with it",engaging and smart. She was more than a trooper as Clara and I experienced her will and vitality firsthand when Sonny and Lois were on an Israel Bond Mission to Israel about 10 years ago. She walked everywhere, including the climb to and from Petra. She loved life and was enjoyed fun! A real loss for your family.

Lois was someone special I knew for many years at Beth Tfiloh. At holiday time, her seat was close to mine. Later, she taught me to play bridge. Her passion for bridge, and teaching others, was unmatched. Greeting her anywhere was one pleasurable moment after another. She always loved sharing special stories of Holly who went to Beth Tfiloh Day School with my son as very young children. She was so proud when Holly married and later became a new mom herself. Lois deeply loved all her grandchildren, proud of all their accomplishments! I will particularly miss her presence and family updates at shul. My deepest condolences to the whole family (and to Ellen).
