One of the best. We were lucky to have her attend the Class of 67's 50th reunion two years ago. Mrs Hassid was a wonderful English teacher and yearbook advisor as well as a friend through the years. She will be missed.

My husband, Ray, and I had Miss Gramling in the 10th grade at Milford Mill in 1958. She was such a great teacher! My husband got into a little trouble and Miss Gramling went to bat for him, so we wouldn’t miss the prom! Ray and Sharon (Albright) Cooper

I had Mrs. Hassid as my English teacher. She was the only teacher that got me to enjoy reading. I think about her often. I now have grandchildren and pray they find a teacher as wonderful as she was.

I love reading all these messages from Aunt Gayle's former students and faculty. She loved teaching and told us many stories about her days at Milford Mill. After her retirement she never stopped proof-reading papers for her grandnieces and nephews! Aunt Gayle was one of a kind, loving, caring, and generous. Its been a blessing, honor and privilege to have her as my Aunt. I already miss her dearly for she holds a special place in my heart. May you rest in Peace in Aunt Gayle - although I think there is quite the reunion/celebration and possibly shenanigans going on in heaven with your loved ones.

Aunt Gayle, my grandmom’s best friend, was always family to us. My favorite days growing up were when she and my grandmom would take Bryanna and I out to lunch and a show, or to get our nails done. We always had the best time and could not stop laughing! A few times we even spilled our drinks from laughing too hard, much to her dismay. I will miss you so much Aunt Gayle, but I know you are still with us. Say hi to everyone up there for me :)

My favorite memory of Aunt Gayle occurred while she was flying out to visit my family during our vacation in Florida many years ago. Aunt Gayle has never been a big fan of planes, so she told the airline employees that she felt faint and they put her in a wheelchair. She was wheeled around the airport and was upgraded to first class free of charge. When she was left alone for a minute, she discreetly called us from a payphone to tell us all about it. We shared many laughs during that trip. Aunt Gayle, we miss you so much already. Thank you for being so involved in our lives. Even though we aren't related by blood, you have always been an integral part of our family. We love you.
