Dear Family of Herb Beckenheimer: To share my great memories & experiences with Herb would require a lengthy essay, however I will condense!! After myself being in the food industry for over 50 years and meeting many people along the way, without a doubt, Herb Beckenheimer was dearest to my friendship!! An amazing man who so loved his beloved industry, came from retirement to go at it again! My personal memories & experiences with Herb will remain with me forever! "All" so positive, so rewarding, so learning! Herb, to me, was a pure & simple man whose only interest was to serve his customers with quality food at competitive prices! He so loved to interact with his employees & customers! He was very proud of his accomplishments, along with his lifetime partner Bernie Meizlish! And he had every right to be! We had so many capers & laughs together! With laughter in my heart and tears in my eyes, may you rest in peace! You earned it! Love you Herbie!

The way Herbie loved dogs was unreal. To him they where not k-9's they where his kids.To me this was the real mark of a person.I sure hope his dogs will be ok.I use to call on him as a salesperson, he always looked after me and always made sure I would wake away with a order. He loved to work.I felt so bad for him when foodking was sold but it was time to move on.Herbie and Bernie where the best partners that the grocery business will ever see.R I P you where the best.

To Linda and Family, I am truly sorry for your loss. Herb is going to be greatly missed by everyone. Although Herb was my employer for 47 years, he was my friend as well. Through the years, I watched his family grow. I enjoyed my years working with Herb at Brown's, Big B and Food King; it was a bonus seeing "The Boys" everyday.
