I knew Jephta since we were very young in Los Angeles. Always a smile, a warm heart and a deep well of personal generosity. I know that these last years haven't been easy, and all I can say is that her loss is so sad for me and my memories of her are so important. My love to all the family and with deepest condolences.

Jephta is on my short list of people I have admired most. Working with her on the Shriver Hall Concert Series board was such a pleasure. Under her leadership SHCS became the outstanding concert series in the Baltimore area. She had such energy, grace, charisma and dedication, she inspired so many others. I think this legacy of hers will last a very long time.

We are overcome with profound sadness at the news that Jephta is no longer with us. With the radiance of a bright star, her life iilluminated so many others. Jephta was an unfailing source of warmth of spirit, joy, compassion and empathy. She once told us all before a Shriver Hall concert that her father was not only a great father, he was a good friend. Obviously a lesson well learned and extended into the rest of her many lives. Our loving condolences to the family.

Karen Gahs and Family:
We are so sorry for your loss. I will always remember her with a welding tool in her hand as she constructed a life-size Giraffe. She is one of a kind! Peace to you all.

Jephta's parents were dear friends of my parents, and Jephta and Dan continued that friendship. In that context my sisters and I knew Jephta as a strong, warm, talented and generous presence whose energy was irresistible. Sending love and hopes for comfort to Dan and the family.

We are devastated at the news of Jephta's passing! Our memories 'only' go back to 1971, but include so many joyous occasions over family and food and farm. Apple picking and New Years Eves and endless music and creativity -- from ambitious and extraordinary sculptures to Dobos torte and Linzer cookies. And all of it served with lots of love! A friendship indelibly etched in our memories, for which we are endlessly grateful!

We have countless fond memories of her including sitting in her warm

Dear Dan, Jonathan, Evan and Eric, I am so very sorry for your loss. I always considered myself so fortunate to have known Jephta and all of you. To me she was a model of strength, warmth, motherhood, talent, elegance and kindness. I remember when she met my young children and I was worried about them not eating their dinner. She said oh dont worry.....when my children didnt like dinner, I just gave them a candy bar. In her honest and beautiful way, I think that she changed for the better all of us who knew her. I will always treasure the memories I have of your home and of your family, with Jephta there at the center of it. My love and deepest condolences to each of you.

The earth has lost an amazing woman and loving soul. Jephta was an inspiration to me as I started my career, so young and right out of MICA. She welcomed me as Shriver Hall Concert Series' graphic designer, entrusting her beloved series in my talents. But not only that, she opened her home many times and made everyone always feel so comfortable and accepted. Her grand sculpture work and drive of creativity and kindness was an influence that has stayed with me for over 20 years.

It is without a doubt that her spirit will remain with us all who had the honor and privilege to know her. My heart felt condolences to her family, friends, and pets that she adored.
