The entire congregation at MMAE joins with Nisa and Leon and the entire extended family on the loss of our beloved member, Freda Garelick. Freda was feisty and inspirational. Her mind remained sharp up until the end. When Joan and I would visit her, she usually had the crossword puzzle on the table. Probably did them in ink. She loved visits and was always engaging, and so full of spirit and love of her family and her shul. Despite being petite in stature, she was fierce in her love of life. So much so that although the Malach Ha Mavis took our beloved friend Freda, he was last seen leaving Northwest Hospital with a black eye and stitches stumbling down Liberty Road in a daze. May she rest in peace and may her family always remember her with a smile and thoughts of love.

So very sorry to hear of Freda's passing, especially because I visited her just a week ago. To think she almost made it to her 100th birthday!! She was quite an amazing person in so many ways and it sounded to me like she had an incredible and fulfilling life.

Your mom was very special to me, and my mom. Across the street neighbors mean so much. So glad the ties are still in tact. Love you, Sherry! And Fern .... so very sorry for your loss.

Dear family,
I was so sorry to read about Freda’s passing. She was youthful and sharp, appreciative and playful...always a delight to be with her and talk about all kinds of things...may you all have the sweetest of memories and may Freda’s deeds in this world bring her to her earned rewards in the next.
Hamakom yenachem etchem.
Shalom,
