Mr. Levine was a guiding light for Baltimore Polytechnic Institute and in particular the Class of 2011. He deemed us "The Class with Class," and following his lead, that's what we grew and matured to be. Z''l. May his memory will always be a blessing.

Me. Levine was my high school counselor. The class of ‘96 at Poly loved him. He was a kind and fair man who always had me smiling. He is the reason why I actually graduated from Poly. My condolences and prayers are with you all. He will be missed.

“Bob” Levine was our grade level admin for the class of 96 at Poly. He was respected by everyone because of the way he treated all of the students. I know he had a huge impact on so many kids, before and after us. Bob would call me to his office once every couple of weeks so we could enjoy a smoke and chat about things. I’m condolences to the family, he truly was a great man, and one of a kind.

Marty and Ryan, no right words we can think of at this time that will immediately ease your pain. Yet, we pray that the many happy memories of Bob's life with all of you will, with time give you comfort and lovely sentiments. Logam and I will miss Bob's physical presence a whole lot. He was a good friend to all. He did a lot for the community. Particularly, I will remember when you and Bob marshall the troops to help remove snow from the driveways and walkways in the courtyard, each Winter. I will miss a good friend. We have shared alot over these 26 years. Many things will keep reminding me of him. We are here when you need us. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all

Mrs. Levine, I can't begin to tell you what an influence Mr. Levine had in my life. Though we weren't in often contact once I moved on from college and "grew up", what he did for me, what he taught me and how he helped me grow, will carry with me for the rest of my life. I'm certain there are dozens, if not hundreds, of other students who can say the same thing. What a difference in the world your husband made. I am so sorry to hear about this.

My thoughts are with Bob and the whole family, and I look forward to a time down the road when the intensity of grief has eased, a time when family and friends can focus - when thinking of Bob - on all the happy, upbeat memories of times with him. Unfortunately, my wife and I can’t be with you for the funeral or shiva because we’re in Boston taking care of two of our grandchildren this week.
All my best,

To Mrs. Martha, Ryan, Katie, Carly and Piper Levine,
Your husband, Dad and Grandad will be remembered for encouraging so many others, including myself. He was my guidance counselor when I graduated from Poly in 1990, and so great a guide that I did keep in touch with him for years after. I regret not continuing that contact, especially since I speak of him so often. He was great at what he did. He will be forever appreciated. I delight in fond memories of him and I share in your sadness.

Mr. Levine was my counselor back in '89-'90 at Baltimore Polytechnic. He gave me the best advice when I was going through some rough times. I still use his advice today almost 30 years later. When my son was a student at Poly, I ran into Mr. Levine and to my surprise he remembered me. I certainly never forgot about him. I'm saddened to learn of his passing and offer my sincere condolences to his wife and family. He was a great guy.

Robert Levine

On November 4, 2019, Robert Levine, of Owings Mills, passed away at the age of 74. Mr. Levine was born in 1945 in the Flatbush neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY. In his youth, he attended Erasmus Hall High School. Upon finishing high school, he attended both the University of Arizona and New York University. Following college, he was introduced to his beloved wife, Marty, via a blind date in Baltimore set up by his future sister-in-law’s husband. Robert and Marty would go on to marry in May of 1981. Robert worked in the school system for his entire career. First, for four years in the New York City Public Schools and then in the Baltimore City Public Schools for 36 years. He valued educating and supporting his students to earn their degrees and be successful. Mr. Levine enjoyed photography, family, and his dog, Kenzie, and held memberships in the National Archaeological Society, Maryland Historical Society, the Nikonians, and Phi Beta Kappa. However, he would most want to be remembered for spending his life in the pursuit of knowledge and helping others attain knowledge and success.

Mr. Levine is survived by his wife Martha (nee Klein), his son, Ryan (Katie) Levine, a daughter-in-law, Carly Levine, and a grandchild, Piper Justine Levine. He is predeceased by a son, Justin David Levine.
