We welcome you to share your memories with us and with those who visit here.

Rabbi David E. Herman Baltimore Md.
Nov 28, 2019 01:19 PM

Judge Natal grew up in a wonderful Jewish home in the Parkside section of Camden, NJ. His late parents Reba and Ed were pillars of the community and were active at Beth El Congregation. Reba was very involved in the sisterhood and even received national recognition and Ed was active with Men's Club and other activities. They performed much chessed (acts of kindness) which they inculcated into their children Sam and Lynne. In fact Ed was Rabbi Riff's accountant and refused to charge him a fee. Judge Natal drew upon his upbringing by showing compassion in his duties as a Judge. He was known as the Mensch on the Bench. My late father, Cantor Louis J. Herman prepared Judge Natal for his Bar Mitzvah. He brought much nachas then and throughout his accomplished life to his wonderful family. May his family be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem. May he be a Gutte Beiter for Bonnie, Lynne, the children and the grandchildren.
