WatersEdge Kayak Club and the paddling community lost a great member yesterday with the passing of epic kayaker Bob Gordon.
He was a great mentor, leader, and friend.
I first met Bob in I believe the fall of 2008 when I decided paddling solo was dangerous and I needed to learn some paddling skills. I met him at Cold Cabin Park on the mighty Susquehanna River and he introduced me to the most magical paddles I've ever done launching from there. He really loved that paddle! :-) Bob we will all miss you terribly.

To Lynn, Alana and the Gordon Family

It is with great sadness that we write this note. There aren’t any words to express the sorrow we feel for your loss. Bob was a good friend, with a generous heart, and a great father who put family values first. Our family has wonderful memories of endless summer days by the pool, with the whole family cooking out and the children playing until they dropped. These are memories that will always be in our hearts. May your fond memories help you find peace and comfort during this difficult time.
Dear Bob it was a privilege to have been a part of your life for so many years. We were very fortunate to have had you in our lives. We will surely miss you.
