The congregation at MMAE joins with all of Shirley's friends and family in recognizing her great accomplishments at the time of her passing. As the first and only female president of our Modern Orthodox shul, she was a true pioneer. Her leadership set the example for the presidents who followed her, including her great friend Sam Stone of blessed memory, one of the all time greatest leaders. And if Shirley could teach Sam a thing or two about shul leadership, you know she had to have great talents. Though she had not been well for some time. she remained in our thoughts and prayers. May she now rest in peace.

I'm sorry to hear this sad news. I have such fond memories of Shirley, with her tremendous dedication to her volunteer pursuits. She, seemingly, never slept. She was a warm, gracious fixture at shul, a truly great lady. We were all a little better because Shirley passed through our lives.

I remember Shirley as a fixture at synagogue services, always dressed to the nines including a very stylish hat. A true leader and a lady.

I am so sorry to learn of the passing of Shirley Feldstein. We all grew up in the Liberty Jewish Center and Shirley and my mother Selma Braiterman were so active and close in the sisterhood and also in Pioneer women. My most sincere condolences to all her loved ones. May sweet memories be a comfort, may her soul be blessed and may she rest in peace.

I only knew Shirley from Pioneer Women and my cousin Selma Braiterman but she was the hardest working volunteer I have ever witness. What a loss, please accept my condolences.

How fortunate we were to have Shirley as our neighbor when our sons were growing up in Randallstown. She was so special in our lives, and we will always cherish the memories we shared with her. Blessings of comfort to the Feldstein and Metzger families.

Shirley was such a sweet wonderful person. I know she was so very active in Na'amat- Pioneer Women. My mom, Sally Finkelstein and Shirley were good friends and in Na'amat together. I always enjoyed seeing Shirley. She was always dressed like a model and was so very kind and caring.May she rest in peace, and her memory be a blessing to all that were lucky to know her.

Condolences to Shirley's family. She was good friends with my mom(Selma Braiterman) from shul and from Pioneer Women. I remember Shirley as a dynamo, who could do it all, but also as the kindest lady who made you feel like she had all the time in the world to answer a young girl's question. I also always remember her delicious baked goods( I make her cake recipe and think of her each time I do). Always a sweet and classy lady. Her memory should be a blessing.

My condolences to Shirley's family...I remember her vividly as she and my mom worked so hard to carry on the Degania Chapter of Pioneer Women..They dedicated much energy and hours to keep the chapter going..I used to do some of the schlepping for those ladies even way back when they had rummage sales...She had a good sense of humor and would kibbitz with me..They were a strong group of women dedicated to Israel...
