“I’ve always wanted to do work that truly helps people, and this feels like exactly that. It’s such an honor to care for someone’s loved one and to play even a small part in helping families through one of the hardest moments of their lives.”
Lauren Stoner joined Sol Levinson in 2024 and serves as a newly licensed Funeral Director and Mortician, working primarily in the Care Center. She earned her Mortuary Science degree from CCBC and was inspired to enter the profession after spending time around funeral homes through family friends while growing up. From an early age, Lauren knew she wanted a career centered on helping others. Moving from Cumberland to the Baltimore area allowed her to pursue mortuary school and begin the career she quickly fell in love with.
In her role, Lauren works full time in the Care Center, where she prepares and cares for loved ones with dignity and respect. She ensures those in our care are thoughtfully prepared for services so families can say their final goodbyes with comfort and peace of mind. In addition to her work behind the scenes, Lauren also assists with funeral services, making sure each detail is handled smoothly and compassionately. She finds it most meaningful to provide reassurance to families, knowing their loved ones are safe and properly cared for. Guided by the belief that she should treat others as she would want to be treated, Lauren leads with empathy, kindness, and understanding in every interaction.
Originally from Cumberland, Maryland, Lauren now enjoys life in the Baltimore area with her husband, Billy, and their spirited six-pound Yorkshire terrier, Reese. Outside of work, she loves spending time outdoors with her family, watching favorite TV shows, and playing board games with friends. She also enjoys playing softball, pickleball, and the violin. Whether at work or at home, Lauren brings warmth, dedication, and a genuine love for helping others to everything she does.
