Obituary

Alex Cohen, of Baltimore, MD, passed away on Monday, August 24th, 2026, at the age of 34. He is survived by his devoted wife, Daniela Cohen (nee Martinez); loving parents, Joanne and Michael Cohen; cherished siblings, Brady (Anna) Cohen, Sarah Cohen (Anthony Lazon); adored nephews, Connor, Elliott and Aaron Cohen; and beloved dog, Frankie.

Alex was the kind of person who brought energy into every room he entered. Outgoing, charming, charismatic, and effortlessly funny, he had a way of making people feel seen. He genuinely wanted to know the people around him, how they were doing, what mattered to them, and whether they needed anything. He was constantly checking in on Daniela, his friends, and the people he loved, always wanting to make sure everyone was okay and taken care of.

He was passionate about nearly everything he did. Alex had a natural gift for sales and could seemingly sell anything to anyone, working in both insurance and medical sales with the confidence, personality, and determination that came so naturally to him. He was equally devoted to fitness, both as an athlete and a trainer, and throughout his life enjoyed lacrosse, soccer, and the challenge of constantly pushing himself.

Alex was also deeply creative. He loved to sing, was a talented trumpet and musician, and even played in a jazz band. Smart and driven, he graduated from Towson University and later continued his education at the University of Maryland Global Campus. He took pride in the way he carried himself, had an unmistakable sense of style, and was, as those who loved him would readily admit, exceptionally handsome.

More than anything, Alex was someone with big dreams and a tremendous desire to make a difference. He cared deeply about helping others, particularly those struggling with sobriety to help people find their way forward. He lived with intensity, enthusiasm, humor, and heart, and the love and concern he showed for the people around him will be remembered just as strongly as his larger-than-life personality.
