Alvin Sheer

Alvin Sheer, of Pikesville, Maryland, passed away on Saturday, July 25th, 2026, at the age of 98. He is survived by his cherished children, David (Laurie) Sheer, Stuart Sheer (Karen Horrigan) and Ilene Sheer (Jonathan) Rosenberg; loving grandchildren, Robert Rosenberg, Katie Donovan (David) Gibbs; and Jacob Simpson; and loving and devoted caregiver, Belinda Smith. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Shirley Sheer; siblings, Betty Sheer Myerberg and Norman Sheer; and parents, Minnie and David Sheer.

Alvin Sheer was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. His kindness and humor will be remembered forever. May his memory be a blessing to all.

Services at Sol Levinson's Chapel, 8900 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, MD 21208, on Wednesday, July 29th, 2026, at 11:00 am. Interment United Hebrew Cemetery. Please omit flowers. Contributions in his memory may be sent to Beth El Congregation, 8101 Park Heights Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21208. The family will be in mourning at 5 Stream Ct, Owings Mills, MD 21117, immediately following interment until 4pm, and from 7-9pm with a service in the evening; Thursday from 1-4pm and from 7-9pm with a service in the evening.
