Betty L. Sellman

Betty Lou Sellman (nee Johnson, formerly Giacomazza), of Lutherville, MD, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at the age of 85. She is survived by her loving relatives: sister-in-law, Sue Ellen Taylor; nephews, Steven (Wendi) Grosshandler and Joshua Butts; nieces, Bonnie Grosshandler, Sarah Butts and Mesa Butts; granddaughter, Alexandra Giacomazza (Jimmy Allenbaugh); and many devoted and cherished friends.

Betty was predeceased by her beloved husband, Alvin Sellman; loving son, Michael Andrew Giacomazza; cherished granddaughter, Megan Giacomazza; adored grandparents, Elmer and Sarah Johnson; dear parents, John Surdi and Ruth Ellen Surdi; and loving sister, Dawn Surdi.

Services at Sol Levinson's Chapel, 8900 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, MD 21208, on Friday, March 20, 2026 at 10:30 am. Interment at Oheb Shalom Memorial Park, 430 Berrymans Lane, Reisterstown, MD 21136. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be sent to the charity of your choice.
