Gail Bart Baylin

Gail Bart Baylin, of Baltimore, MD, passed away on Friday, July 17th, 2026, at the age of 91. She is survived by her loving children, Michael (Catherine) Baylin, Jane Baylin (Robert) Lipnick, and Margot Baylin (Larry) Lessans; devoted grandchildren, Maxwell (Rebecca) Lipnick, Harry (Lily) Lipnick, Sam (Allie) Leonard, Gabrielle Lessans (Oliver Weinberg), Scott (Nadia) Lessans, Sara Lessans (Sam Apa), JJ Baylin (Nellie Farrow), and Eric Baylin (Karla Villa); adored great-grandchildren, Asher Weinberg, Isaac Weinberg, River Lessans, Jackie Lipnick, Miles Lipnick, Kit Lipnick, and Zippy Lipnick; dearest niece, Beverlee Rendelman, who was lovingly by mom’s side for many years. And our team of angels who provided long-term loving care and support for mom and our whole family. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Jack Lee Baylin; dear brother, Fred (Shirlee) Bart; and adored parents, Sara and Harry Bart.

Gail Baylin was the very definition of a lady- gracious and elegant but always up for a laugh and a good time. She was incredibly lucky to have found her soul mate at a young age and had a long and laughter-filled marriage to her love, Jack Baylin. She leaves behind generations of children, grandchildren and great grands, leaving a legacy of love and life that will endure for years to come. She will be greatly missed.

Services and interment are private. Please omit flowers. Contributions in her memory may be sent to The Associated: Jewish Federation of Baltimore, or Gilchrist Hospice Care, or the Alzheimer's Association. The family will be in mourning at the Woodholme Country Club, 300 Woodholme Ave, Pikesville, MD 21208 from 3pm to 6pm, with a service at 7pm on Monday only.
