Helene Cooper Bers

Helene Cooper Bers, of Riverdale, New York, formerly of Baltimore, MD, passed away on Sunday, October 12th, 2025, at the age of 93. She is survived by her loving children, Deborah Bers (Denis McInerney) and Joan Bers Cantor (Stuart Cantor); beloved grandchildren, Yonatan (Marlena) Cantor, Lia (Sameer) Aryal, Don (Leora) Cantor, SarahLynn McInerney, P'nina (Yehuda) Hirschfield, Jered McInerney (Marissa Ferreyros), Nissim (Rivka) Cantor, Ahuva (Josh) Boniuk and Rena Cantor; cherished great grandchildren, Dena Cantor, Yehuda Cantor, Udi Cantor, Talia Cantor, Ayelet Cantor, Zevy Cantor, Gavriel Cantor, Meital Hirschfield and Bella Boniuk; nephews Eric and Gerald Bers (OBM), nieces Barbara Jacobson and Alison Lynch. She was predeceased by her devoted husband, Leonard Aaron Bers; caring sister, Shirley Strazza; and dear parents, Rose and Phillip Cooper.

Services at Sol Levinson's Chapel, 8900 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, MD 21208, on Thursday, October 16th, 2025, at 1:00 pm. Interment Hebrew Friendship Cemetery. Please omit flowers. Contributions in her memory may be sent to a charity of your choice. The mourners will begin shiva at approximately 4:00 pm at Shomrei Emunah Congregation, 6221 Greenspring Avenue, Baltimore 21209. Deborah will continue shiva at 9 Canterbury Road South in Harrison, NY 10528 Sunday, Monday and Tuesday from 7 pm to 8:30pm. Joan will be sitting shiva at 401 Chantecler Avenue in Richmond, Va 23226 Friday-Tuesday.
