Ira Wexler

Ira Martin Wexler, of Owings Mills, Maryland, passed away on Saturday, October 3rd, 2026, at the age of 78. He is survived by his devoted wife, Chaya Wexler (nee Dogoloff); beloved daughter, Ilyssa Wexler Zacchei (Mirko Zacchei); loving sister, Biddy (the late Jerald) Mazer; cherished grandchildren, Stella Franca and Sebastian Alexander; and adored niece, Abby Mazer. Ira was predeceased by his dear parents, Florence and Philip Wexler.

Ira was a brilliant man whose varied interests reflected his curious mind. Known as Baltimore’s “Pinball Wizard,” he was also a ham radio enthusiast. Above all, he was a kind and devoted husband and father, who was deeply loved by his family, who will all miss him dearly.

Services at Sol Levinson's Chapel, 8900 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, MD 21208, on Tuesday, October 6th, 2026, at 1:00 pm. Interment Baltimore Hebrew Cemetery. Please omit flowers. Contributions in his memory may be sent to L'Chaim Day Program, 3617 Seven Mile Lane, Pikesville, MD 21208. The family will be in mourning at 315 Belltown Road, Owings Mills, MD 2117, on Tuesday, immediately following interment, Wednesday and Thursday.
