Obituary
Janet Susan Lipman, of Silver Spring, Maryland, passed away on October 31, 2025, at the age of 82.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Dan Lipman; her loving children, Rachel (Lee) Rosen, Aaron (Julie) Lipman, and Rena (Seth) Opert; her cherished brother, Ben Levine; her adored grandchildren, Nathan (Shambhavi Nabar), Ari, Sarah, and Gabrielle Mostow, Molly (Jacob Rabinowitz), Havi, Micah, and Shira Rosen, Leora and Abby Opert, and Lillian and Josie Lipman; and her great-grandson, Dean Rabinowitz. She was predeceased by her parents, Leo and Betty Levine.
Janet was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and a dear friend to many in her community. A devoted educator and social worker, she was known for her compassion, intellect, and dedication to helping others. She found joy in books, classical music, Jewish causes, and treasured moments of conversation and laughter shared over a cup of tea and a bowl of popcorn.
She will be missed every day and loved forever.
