Joseph Harry Schnitzer, of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away on Friday, March 20th, 2026, at the age of 79. He is survived by his loving daughter, Genny Schnitzer; his cherished siblings, Fernne and Roger (deceased) Rosenblatt and Sharyn Maas (deceased); and his adored nieces and nephews, Astrid Maas, Sage and Nancy Maas, China and Mike Derr, Jon and Linda Hicks, Garth and Jenny Hicks, Eli Rosenblatt and Kelly Sullivan, and Benjamin Rosenblatt and Olivia Kalin. Also survived by many loving great-nieces and great-nephews.
Joe was a born and bred Baltimorean who lived the way he wanted, and was loved by his family. He was an especially avid learner and loved history. He will be missed and always remembered.
A memorial service will be planned for a later date. Please omit flowers. Contributions in his memory may be sent to the Enoch Pratt Free Library.
