Obituary
Dr. Lawrence Boas, of Towson, Maryland, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at the age of 81. He is survived by his beloved wife, Margaret "Marge" Boas; children, Craig (Margaret) Boas, and Shaun (Catherine) Boas; sister, Joanne Boas; and grandchildren, Benjamin Boas, and Madalen Boas; step-sons, Michael and Brian Duffield. He was predeceased by his parents, Benjamin and Florence Boas.
From an early age, it was clear that medicine would be his life’s calling. As an Eagle Scout, he once helped save a life, an experience that set him firmly on the path to becoming a physician. He carried that sense of purpose with him throughout his career and well beyond, approaching his work with dedication and a deep sense of responsibility to others. Even in retirement, he remained engaged with the field he loved, continuing to read, learn, and stay connected to medicine. At home, he was a caring father and grandfather, though those who knew him best understood that being a doctor was not just his profession, but an essential part of who he was. He will be missed dearly by those lucky enough to have met him.
