Obituary
Lawrence Ira Gutin, beloved husband, father, Pop-Pop, brother, and friend, passed away on Sunday, February 1st, 2026 at the age of 74. He is survived by his loving spouse, Becky; beloved children Louis Gutin and Rachel (Michael) Medvin; adored grandchildren Jacob and Hannah Medvin; brother and sister-in-law Irwin and Harriet Gutin; in-laws Benjamin (the late Gail) Harris, Penny (the late Don) Clifton, Debbie (Bill) Kommalan, and the late Stefanie (late Philip) Hunt; and many nieces and nephews. Larry was predeceased by his parents, Milton and Reva Gutin; son Marshall Gutin; and brother Charles Gutin.
Larry was born in Baltimore. He married Becky in 1985 and over the next few years welcomed three beloved children, twins Louis and Marshall and then daughter Rachel. Son Marshall Abrams Gutin passed away 16 days after birth.
Larry had a long and industrious career in the furniture industry, including owning his own store. He was a dear friend and avid collector of stamps and coins. Above all else, Larry cherished his family. He had a deep love for his children and especially his grandchildren, and found his greatest joy in spending time with them, sharing stories, laughter, and quiet moments that they will carry with them forever.
We are grateful for the wonderful care Larry received at ChristianaCare Wilmington Hospital Hospice. The staff there are the best.
