Leonard Aaron Kopelson

Leonard Aaron Kopelson, of Lutherville, Maryland, passed away on Sunday, December 21st, 2025, at the age of 91. He is survived by his beloved wife, Marilyn Beth Kopelson (nee Halpern); his loving daughter, Aileen Rae (Richard) Fuss; loving grandchildren, Samantha, and Nathan; and sister-in-law, Ann Kopelson. He was predeceased by his loving brother, Sherman Kopelson; and devoted parents, Miriam and Frank Kopelson.

Leonard will be remembered forever by his friends, by his family, and especially by his countless students. A proud science teacher in Baltimore County, Leonard took every opportunity he could to care for his students and to foster curiosity and passion for the natural world. He spent much of his time reading a new mystery novel or sometimes a scientific non fiction, always interested in learning throughout his life. He also thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and feeding birds or perhaps hunting the next prized mineral for display, Leonard enjoyed everything the world could provide him. Above all else though, Leonard loved being with his daughter Aileen, and his two grandchildren. May his memory be a blessing always.
