Obituary
Linda Peters, née Budlow, passed away on May 31, 2026 at the age of 88. She is survived by her children, Ric Peters and Jennifer Peters, her grandson, Pete Hooker, and her siblings, Herschel Budlow, Ronnie Janney and Edda Budlow.
Linda grew up in Baltimore, where her parents owned and operated Budlow’s Market in Bolton Hill, a beloved neighborhood store. The generosity and kindness the Budlows showed to their community influenced Linda throughout her life.
For more than thirty years, Linda was the main corporate switchboard operator at CareFirst BCBS in Owings Mills, a job she loved and took great pride in. She was known for her patience and unwavering commitment to ensuring members got the assistance they needed. The same caring spirit that defined her work could be seen throughout her life. Linda believed in treating people with kindness and found fulfillment in making a difference whenever she could.
That spirit of service extended beyond her career. Linda volunteered for many organizations throughout her life, including Special Olympics, March of Dimes and the American Red Cross, where she was a regular blood platelet donor for more than a decade.
Linda will be remembered for her dedication to her work, her advocacy for others and the deeply individual way she experienced and moved through life.
