Richard Caplan

Richard Caplan, of Reisterstown, Maryland, passed away on Monday, August 25th, 2025, at the age of 56. He is survived by his loving children, Samantha Caplan and Jeremy Caplan; adored grandchildren, Maddison Dixon, Sean Holton and Mariah Holton; caring uncle, David Pritzker; and beloved family dog, Charlie. He was predeceased by his dear parents, Carole and Michael Caplan.

Richard worked as an electrician for over 30 years, a career that reflected both his skill and dedication. A lifelong hockey and football fan, he rarely missed a chance to cheer on his beloved Washington Capitals and Miami Dolphins. Above all, Richard’s greatest joy came from being a grandfather. He was completely devoted to his grandchildren, who were the light of his life. Richard was known for his quick wit and trademark sarcasm and brought laughter and energy to every room he entered. He will be deeply missed by his friends and family.
