She is survived by her loving daughter, Stacey (Daniel) O'Donnell; adoring grandchildren, Nicole (Jake) Clifton, Lindsey (Jordie) Henry, Carly (Keith) Robinson, and Hank Wilson; and her precious great-grandchildren, Sarah, Vance, Luke, Maya, Aria, and Hope. Rita is also survived by her sister-in-law, Beth Winick. She was predeceased by her beloved husbands, Irving Zwirn and Herbert Kerner; her loving brother, Stephen Winick; and her devoted parents, Blanche and Sydney Winick.
Rita was a social butterfly and a light to all those she encountered. She will always be remembered for her adventurous spirit. Her zest for life and willingness to try new things was contagious. She was involved in numerous activities such as mahjong, canasta, and exercise classes. She loved to see live music and go shopping. Rita volunteered on her neighborhood board of directors as the treasurer for 17 years and was recognized by all for her astute organization and attention to detail. Above all, Rita loved spending time with her family. Her spirit will live on in her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren forever. Please join us to celebrate her life.
Services will be held at Baltimore Hebrew Berrymans Lane Cemetery, 318 Berrymans Lane, Reisterstown, MD 21136, on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Immediately following the service, there will be a luncheon celebration of life at The Winifred Manor clubhouse (in Rita’s neighborhood), located at 2020 Rudy Serra Drive, Eldersburg, MD 21784.
