Obituary

Ruth Berger-Kline (née Berger), of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away on June 16, 2026, at the age of 83 in Massachusetts.

Ruth was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose family was always at the center of her life. Deeply grounded in her Jewish faith and traditions, she lived with compassion, strength, and a commitment to caring for others.

That commitment was reflected in her distinguished career as a nurse practitioner, including many years serving patients and students through her work at Johns Hopkins University and Loyola University. She touched countless lives through her professionalism, kindness, and dedication to helping others.

Those who knew Ruth will remember not only her warmth and generosity, but also her quick wit and mischievous sense of humor. Beneath her caring nature was a spirited spark that brought laughter and joy to family gatherings and friendships throughout her life.

Ruth is lovingly survived by her son, Kenton Kline and his wife, Heather; her cherished grandchildren, Kinsley Kline and Easton Kline; her siblings, Barry Berger and his wife, Beverly, Joel Berger, and Arlene Lewis and her husband, Ray; and her brother-in-law, Garry Isen, and her many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her former husband, Timothy Kline; her sister, Barbara Isen; and her parents, Elsie and Henry Berger.

Funeral services will be held at Sol Levinson's Chapel, 8900 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, Maryland, on Friday, June 19, 2026, at 12:00 p.m., followed by interment at Beth Tfiloh Cemetery. The family with gather at the home of Ruth's sister, Arlene Lewis, 3503 Old Court Road, Pikesville, MD 21208 immediately following internment. Parking is available at 3501, 3503, and 3505 Old Court Road.
