Shirley Tilchen (Schneider)

Shirley Tilchen (nee Schneider), of Rockville, Maryland, passed away on Monday, October 6th, 2025, at the age of 93. She is survived by her loving daughter, Susan (Howard) Sherer; caring grandchildren, Jeffrey (Elizabeth) Sherer, and Ilana Sherer; and her adoring great grandchildren, Naomi Sherer, Ezra Sherer, Eli Sherer, and Ronan Sherer. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Herbert Tilchen; beloved son, Edward Tilchen; and caring parents, Harry and Minnie Schneider.

Services at Beth Israel Memorial Park, 1098 Woodbridge Center Drive, Woodbridge Township, NJ 07095, on Thursday, October 9th, 2025, at 12:30 pm. Please omit flowers. Contributions in her memory may be sent to Haddasah, online at Hadassah.org. The family will be welcoming guests at the home of Susan and Howard Sherer,  beginning on Sunday, October 12, from 1 to 5pm, and Monday, October 13, through Thursday, October 16, from 6pm to 8pm with Shiva services that week on Wednesday and Thursday at 7pm both evenings.
