Stephen M. Davidson

Stephen M. Davidson, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away on Sunday, August 17th, 2025, at the age of 84. He is survived by his beloved wife, Harriet Davidson (nee Siscovick); loving children, Michael Davidson (Christine Reardon) and Rachel Davidson (Robert Wolf); devoted sister, Louise Davidson (Bruce Miller); cherished grandchildren, Noah Davidson, Aaron Davidson, Tess Wolf, Hannah Davidson and Eli Wolf; and many dear nieces, nephews, and cousins. Stephen was predeceased by his parents, Betty and Nachman Davidson; step-mother, Sophie Davidson; and brother, Robert (Marge) Davidson.

He cared deeply about the world around him, which led to a long career as a Professor of Health Care Policy at the University of Chicago, Northwestern University and Boston University. He loved the symphony, opera, baseball, ice cream with chocolate chip cookies, but most of all, his family.

Services at Sol Levinson's Chapel, 8900 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, MD 21208, on Tuesday, August 19th, 2025, at 11:00 am. Interment at Bnai Israel Cemetery. The family will be in mourning at Harriet's residence on Wednesday and Thursday at 6pm (minion at 6:30pm) and Sunday at 2:30pm (minion at 3pm).
