Stephen L. Gould

Steve L. Gould, of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away on November 10, 2025, at the age of 90.

Born in Baltimore on December 26, 1934, he is survived by his devoted wife of 70 years, Joan S. Gould (Goldstein), his daughter, Debra Gould, and his granddaughter, Cassidy Mindy.

Outside of work as the longtime owner of Music House at Harundale Mall, where he shared his knowledge and appreciation for music with generations of customers, he enjoyed fishing with his poker-playing group of close friends, and listening to classical and country-western music. His easygoing nature and steady presence made him someone people enjoyed being around. Unknown until now, Steve was also "the HonMan", who took great pride posting his signs on the Baltimore-Washington Expressway, having a personal interview with then Mayor Kurt Schmoke.

Steve was deeply saddened by the loss of our son, Eric Gould, in April 2024, and carried his memory with quiet devotion ever since. He was also predeceased by his parents, Louis and Sylvia (nee` Klavens) Gould and his brother, Robert (Cec) Gould. He also shared a close relationship with his wife's late parents, Fanny and Irvin Goldstein, whose affection for him was so genuine that Joan would sometimes smile and say she felt like the in-law.
