Obituary

In Memory of Tom Drucker
Tom Drucker was, above all else, a man devoted to his family.

Born and raised in Queens, New York, Tom became a dentist and owned and ran his own dental practice. He was a Lifetime Member of the Academy of General Dentistry and proudly served his country as a Captain in the United States Army as a dentist. He was exceptionally intelligent, hardworking and honest, with a wonderfully dry sense of humor that those who knew him well will always remember.

But for all of his professional accomplishments, his family was the center of his life.

Tom and his beloved wife, Gail, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in June 2026. Their marriage was a beautiful example of lasting love and devotion. Even after six decades together, they still held hands, said “I love you,” and genuinely adored one another.

Tom was the loving father of Bari, Scott and Jennifer, a loving father-in-law to Holly, and the proud grandfather of Sam, Cassie and Cole.

Tom and Gail devoted their lives to their family and made countless sacrifices to give their children every opportunity possible. Scott and Jennifer remember an extraordinary childhood filled with love, security and experiences, always knowing their parents would be there for them.

Education was especially important to Tom. He stayed up late making study sheets before tests, helped with schoolwork, hired tutors when needed and made certain his children had every opportunity to succeed. He and Gail also believed in experiences beyond the classroom—museums, classical music, culture and travel. They even sacrificed vacations of their own so their children could spend summers traveling on teen tours and experiencing the world.

Tom loved classical music and birds, enjoyed stamp and coin collecting, and was an avid collector of antiques. He was also remarkably creative and talented with his hands, making beautiful, intricate jewelry, including special pieces for Gail.

And when his children became adults, he never stopped taking care of them. Being the person his family could depend upon was simply part of who he was. That love extended to his grandchildren, Sam, Cassie and Cole, whom he loved dearly.

Tom spent his life taking care of the people he loved. He taught them, believed in them, sacrificed for them and gave them the security of knowing he would always be there.

After 60 years of marriage and a lifetime devoted to his family, Tom leaves behind a family forever shaped by his love, his example and the life he gave them.

His family was his life. And to his family, he was everything.
