Obituary

Wayne M. Johnson, of Halethorpe, Maryland, formerly of Linthicum, Maryland, passed away on Friday, December 19th, 2025, at the age of 77. He is survived by his wife, Dori Siegenthaler; and nephews and nieces, John (Laura), Mark (Kim), David (Chris), and Scott (Sue) Wettengel, and Lisa (Joe) Sheldon; and his four legged constant companion, Buster. He was predeceased by his siblings, Marlene Johnson Wettengel, Sandra Johnson, and Gary Johnson.

Wayne was a proud US Army veteran who bravely served in Vietnam. He grew up a passionate Baltimorean, and since grade school years, loved and supported The Baltimore Orioles. A Nick Markakis shirt warms him still. Many of his best memories were made sitting with friends in the bleachers of the greatest ballpark in the world, Camden Yards.

A favorite memory was the five month cross country journey from the West Coast to the East Coast with Dori.
Wayne was thankful for the friends he grew up with, his nieces and nephews, and new friends and neighbors that provided them with love and support during his final chapter of life. With a deep sense of God's hand over him, we are thankful that he is finally home and at peace.

Both Wayne and Dori were deeply appreciative for the good care and assistance given by the Veterans Administration of Baltimore.

Services at Sol Levinson's Chapel, 8900 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, MD 21208, on Friday, December 26, 2025, at 10:30 am. Burial service to follow at Parkwood Cemetery, 3310 Taylor Avenue, Parkville, MD 21234. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be sent to the Maryland Food Bank, online at mdfoodbank.org, or to Disabled American Veterans, online at help.dav.org, or the Parkinson's foundation, online at parkinsons.org.
